Let's see, my life's goal is to completely be my own person; to be unique in a sea of carbon copies. I love flippy skirts, formal dresses, flip flops and scarves. I think the perfect Saturday is achieveable with a good book, rain outside, the house to yourself, hot chocolate, and random phone calls from people who love you. I think that whoever said high school is the best four years of your life was on drugs. In fact, if they went to my school I'm sure they were. The thing in the world that scares me most is failure. If I could take a year off from school/work/whatever I would become a missionary in some completely random country. I think snowflakes are the most perfect things in the world. My strong Southern Baptist upbringing has caused me to lead a very naive, sheltered life, but I'm working on that. I learned to never tell anyone that I can type or play the piano. I've also learned that if a guy tells you he has trouble committing, believe him. The best way to get over your past is blame your parents and get on with your life, while not holding it against your parents. I'm highly addicted to coffee, a fact that I attribute to my working in a coffee house (by the way, I think I have the best job in the world). My friends are the most awesome people ever. I want to be queen of England. I can be very sweet; however, I have a very quick temper, but usually appologize shortly after. I'm a compulsive teethbrusher and flosser. If I could visit anywhere in the world I've never been it'd be Venice or Scotland (preferably both). However, if given a choice I'd go back to Vienna TODAY. Which reminds me, I'm very proud of my Austrian heritage. I've never been in love, close, but not quite. I'm a firm believe that everything happens for a reason. I have played just about every form of organized sport possible in my life (soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, softball, and so forth). I appreciate the grand gestures of romance, but prefer the small things, i.e. random text messages at 3 in the morning just saying you're thinking about me, a card, a note left on my windshield, etc. I broke my toe when I was 8 when I ran into a soccer goal post. I don't believe in regret, it just holds you back. I have an addiction to church mission trips, I just can't get enough! I have the most random train of thought ever. I love the Christmas season more than the actual day of Christmas. I'm allergic to almost everything. I love skirts and will wear one on any occasion. I am completely obssessed with airports. I think potlitical correctness is for people who care way to much about what others think of them, people who just want to make other people happy with their own life. I don't know what I'd do without chocolate.
"The world is big. Some people are unable to comprehend that simple fact. They want the world on their own terms, its peoples just like them and their friends, its places like the manicured little patch on which they live. But this is a foolish and blind wish. Diversity is not an abnormality but the very reality of our planet. The human world manifests the same reality and will not seek our permission to celebrate itself in the magnificence of its endless varieties. Civility is a sensible attribute in this kind of world we have; narrowness of heart and mind is not." --Chinua Achebe
